Our first Bioinformatics Round Table of 2026 is happening on Wednesday, 04.03.2026, 12:00–14:00. It’s a friendly, practical meetup where we share what’s working (and what isn’t) in real-world data analysis, followed by an open discussion.
What’s planned:
* 1–2 short talks (10–20 minutes each)
* Lightning shares or demos (3–5 minutes)
* Round-table discussion and Q&A
Call for contributions: We’re looking for talks, presentations, demos, show-and-tell, or discussion starters. Ideal topics include (but aren’t limited to):
* Pipelines/workflows, reproducibility, and scaling
* Single-cell, RNA-seq, and multi-omics analyses
* QC strategies, benchmarking, and tool comparisons
* Visualization, data management, and documentation
* Machine learning in bioinformatics (models, pitfalls, best practices)
* “Lessons learned” from recent projects or tricky data sets
How to propose something:
* Send a title + 2–5 lines of description
* Indicate format (talk, lightning, demo) and preferred length
* Just reply to this message)
Everyone working with bioinformatics/data analysis is welcome—students, staff, and faculty. Feel free to bring colleagues. We’ll confirm the room and share the final agenda closer to the date.
Questions or ideas? Just reply. Looking forward to kicking off the series with you!
Thanks.
Best regards,
Slave
